Spike: Design for 3D Printing
Build your own Spike, a robotic dragon companion, as you learn new engineering skills with Dan as your teacher!
Class Goals
In this class you will learn all of Dan's tips and tricks to design in SOLIDWORKS for 3D printing while making your own Spike.
Dan shares everything it takes to start developing your own projects.
Additional Materials
This course also requires the following:
- A 3D Printer with a build volume that can fit a part of size 130mm (Width) x 160mm (Length) x 70mm (Height)
- 3D Printer filament
- ELEGOO Starter Arduino Kit ($35-$49)
- SOLIDWORKS for makers ($7.99/month)
- Other common maker tools such as pliers, hot glue gun, etc.
All build materials are discussed in the first few videos of the class.
